ˌser.ənˈdɪp.ɪ.ti is getting more and more bilingual! Thanks to noprerequisite’s language picker plugin (and my fiddling with the template) reading this blog in the language of your choice has become much easier. You have two options:
- Imagine you are reading a post that exists in both English and French and you’d like to see the French version: simply switch back and forth between the two languages by clicking on the link “Lire la version française de ce billet“ that is displayed at the top and bottom of the post. The language setting for all the other posts you might access later (I’m optimistic and hope you are reading more than just one post) will not be changed.
- You can also globally change your preferred language setting from English to French and vice versa by clicking on “FR” or “EN” on the red navigation bar above each post. If you choose “FR”, the French version (if there is one) of every post you access will be displayed. Unilingual posts will of course appear in whichever language they are written in.

ˌser.ənˈdɪp.ɪ.ti devient de plus en plus bilingue! J’ai installé le plugin language picker conçu par noprerequisite et adapté le modèle du site pour que vous puissiez lire ce blog de manière plus aisée dans la langue de votre choix. Vous avez deux options :
- Si vous voulez temporairement voir la version anglaise d’un billet bilingue que vous êtes en train de lire, cliquez simplement sur le lien « Read this post in English » qui se trouve au début et à la fin du billet. Cela marche dans les deux sens. Essayez-le, vous trouverez facilement le chemin de retour. Les autres billets ne sont pas affectés par cette manipulation.
- Pour changer globalement la langue d’affichage des billets, choisissez « FR» ou « EN» sur l’une des barres de navigation rouges que séparent les billets. Bien entendu, les billets qui n’existent pas dans votre langue préférée seront affichés dans celle dans laquelle ils ont été écrits.

“und manchmal auch auf deutsch” - wenn ich das nur früher gesehen hätte, hätte ich auf Deutsch geschrieben, weil mein Franz. nicht so gut ist. Ja, Englisch wäre auch eine Möglichkeit, aber Englisch ist ein bisschen langweilig…
You’ve written on unilingual entries. How do I manage it to just let an entry become unilingual? When I put it in the language tags of just one language and afterwards try to display a page according to a different language the article will unfortunately be displayed on every language’s page instead of just one.
